Galaxy Child is a Visionary psychedelic rock band formed in downtown Los Angeles.The group consists of Forrest Moon (guitar, vocals), Mekala Session (drums, vocals) and Sean Alexander (bass guitar, vocals). The trio began creating music together while attending a visual and performing arts high school. Galaxy Child is their second musical incarnation together. Drawing upon heavy rock & roll, and psychedelic roots. Underneath the wattage, there is a strong undercurrent of reggae and funk.

Moon draws influence from Jimi Hendrix, Tom Morello, The Red-Hot Chili Peppers and Sublime. Session’s swinging jazz repertoire and one of a kind eclectic drumming fuses with Alexander’s thumping bass backbone that harmonically dances next to Moon’s guitar melodies.

 

Galaxy Child is currently in the studio recording their debut album ‘Levitate’ aiming to release early 2019 along with a west coast tour.
